The water company should provide this service for free. They will come out and put a pressure gage on your side of the meter and turn the water on. That will give them an accurate reading.

The recognised minimum water pressure that a water company must supply water to the consumers stop tap is approximately 1bar, (that is enough pressure to supply water up to 10 metres height from the stop tap in the street) The minimum flow rate is 10 litres per minute.

Water companies have their own targets, this is usually in the region 1.5 to 2 bar or 15 to 20 metres of head or higher.

Borrow a gauge from a plumber, You screw them on to an outside tap, or the "cold" on a washing machine, and the gauge gives you the reading, usually between 0.7 - 3.0 bars
A BAR is equal to 15 psi in old money.
I noticed that some have a rubber end which you hold tightly against a tap, and you read the gauge.
To buy they are about £12

first tie about 20 knots in string about 1 mile apart. then burst the water pipes in your house till it fills up with water. them open the front door as the water goes out the door let the knots flow out.

the amount of knots that go in a minuite will give you the pressure in Knots!

Oh wait thats water speen not pressure DOH!
