Actually, the ENTIRE plan of salvation IS biblical. The bible repeatedly speaks of us being "perfect" as our Father, becoming joint-heirs with Christ, and much more. You are a little confused... and that's understandable. We believe ALL of God's children - not just Mormons - who accept and adhere to the doctrines and principles of the gospel will inherit a place in the Celestial Kingdom, everyone else (probably even some Mormons) will go to one of the other two Kingdoms. Every single person who ever lived or will live, WILL be resurrected: meaning their body and spirit will eternally unite, never to be separated again. You ask why. Was Christ not resurrected? Did Christ not have a tangible body of flesh and bone, that He showed unto his disicples and followers?? We believe the same will happen for all of us, because of Christ's resurrection. He broke the bonds of physical death, so that we all might live again. This is a free gift for all, just for coming to this earth, we can be eternal and immortal. Why would we not have our physical body in heaven? What would be the purpose of Christ's resurrection if ALL did not benefit from it? THIS is part of The Plan of Salvation - salvation from death. You should meet with the missionaries again.
