My toshiba sd-r5372v DVD writer is acting up! Help me.?

My toshiba sd-r5372v DVD writer acts like its reading a cd but then the green light stays on and it acts like it is done but its really just stuck? Anyone have any ideas about why it is messing up? It used to work just fine it just recently started doing this, and sometimes it still works normally only about 60% of the time does it mess up.

Maybe dust.

Open the tray and blow real hard, or use a can of compressed air.
Make sure CD is clean.
Try another CD.
Reseat cables to CD drive.
