I believe so. It's called blatant protectionism.....In America the gambling lobby has your politicians in it's pockets and the American gaming industry is fearful of foreign owned websites taking American customers money.

No, Americans are not being banned from playing online poker.
The law that will be passed states that Americans can not use credit cards, bank accounts, or any fund transfer websites (i.e. netteller, paypal) to deposit money into any online poker site.

Americans can still play for fun. Some websites will still allow you to use whatever money you have in your account. Some will just refund you and you can no longer deposit money.

I like playing for fun only, especially at the worldpokersite.com, because they reward their players with free poker blogs, recognition, hosting, etc. They are giving away an XBox360 as well. They are a free poker site and no money involved. You play and meet people from around the world. It's a cool site.

First I heard about it. I dought it. People are not sapossed to download music on the web, but they do!
