Where did you here about it? Sounds like false information to me. Either that or it must be a really small comet. If there was a large space object about to hit earth, we would have known about it before now. We have actually almost finished locating every large space object which could potentially hit earth. I think the closest one is 20 years, but they say that it will probably miss Earth by a narrow window. Actually, I am pretty sure the highest we have ever detected on the Torino Scale is about a 1.
