I think they love both------they have been in power so long, they have forgotten the meaning of both.

My grandpa was a very conservative Republican and had an American flag flying in his yard until the day he died (he also fought in the Vietnam war)......but he also had a bible next to his chair and beside his bed and never missed a Sunday service. You can be patriotic and love Jesus.....though I think he loved Jesus more.
By the way, I am neither Republican or Democratic.....I agree with some of the views of both parties and disagree also.

To Repukes the flag represents their POLITICAL agenda, although they are NOT honest enough to admit that, maybe not even to themselves. They love THAT MUCH MUCH more than the Constitution that represents the core of what the USA should stand for. Oh yeah, as somebody pointed out above, they also bow down (secretly) in worship of the Almighty Buck.

I'm an athiest, and a Republican, so I'd say I love my flag better than a guy who has been dead a long time.
That being said, idiots such as yourself fail to realize, it's not just the flag we love, it's the country it represents.

Depend on who they are in bed with.
If it is a Senate Page then they say Oh Jesus.
If they are taking one for the Gipper then they wave a little flag and say ask not what you can do for your country but ask what you can do for your country.

we can attempt to do away with abortion and we are at the instant attempting. The loopy feminists does no longer oppose the flag element as plenty. we are combating small battles as a fashion to win the war against liberalism.
