Doesn't your school have a TV or radio station with 100 miles?

North Korea detonated a large underground explosion the other day. It MAY have been nuclear - they claim it was. But it may have been a large chemical explosion, in an attempt to bluff the rest of the world.

If they do have such a weapon, they could use it to bomb other countries. Japan would be one target, South Korea could be another. Both have critisized the north Korean government.

But the bigger problem would be, "What if N. Korea decides to sell the bomb?" Who could they sell it to? Al Quaida? The Taliban? Hugo Chavez, the nutty president of Venezuela?

Yes, you have been out of touch. North Korea has been threatening to develop nuclear missiles for MANY months. On Sunday, they did their first test of a nuclear bomb in an underground hole. The first results show that it didn't work very well. So we are not in any imminent danger.

The United States and United Nations are determining what is the best course of action to respond. China is North Korea's biggest trading partner and therefore has the most leverage to exert over them. China is considering sanctioning N Korea.

Actually it's North Korea that has now tested a nuclear weapon. Japan, China and South Korea are all very nervous about it. It could be a threat to us in the long run if they were to sell to terrorist organizations but that is conjecture at this point. The biggest concern might well be that if South Korea were to find themselves in trouble again our response would be severely hampered by lack of available troops due to our adventures in Iraq. As for a direct attack on us, North Korea does not have the missle capability at this time. Ill's real goal seems to be a place at the international table. This could make a hell of a bargaining chip for that.

North Korea conducted an underground NUclear test that the US govt has said to be more "Fizz than Pop" which is a classic US GOVT tale spin.

The bottom line is that North korea is a nuclear power now, and has held South korea hostage with threats for years. This is a very serious incident no matter what the US and CHINA say.

As you get older you will learn that the Govt's in this world have nothing but thier own interest in mind when it comes to thier country. This is why KIM JONG ILL (leader north korea) has a nuke now, for his own interest. he will most likely use it as a bargaining chip, which will fall on deaf ears with the US. China is a sorry excuse for a security council member too. So just keep your eyes open, and await the impending draft to fight on the Asian continent.

Its got nothing to do with Japan.
Its them wankers in north korea!!
They dont like America & dont make it a secret.
They know that by having nukes it,ll p_ss off the US.
They tested 1 on monday underground & it measured 3 on the
Ricter scale.
But since then there have been claims that it didnt go off properly.
The US is under NO direct threat @ the moment nore i think will it be.
North korea as since said that if the US gives up its nukes so will it & talks can begin.
BUT CAN YOU SEE THE UAS GIVING UP ITS NUKES

Nothing is going to happen. That guy isn't going to launch at anyone; he's an idiot who just wants attention. Think about it: If North Korea fires at anyone -- ANYONE -- the rest of the world would literally blow them off the face of the earth. No one supports what they're doing and there would be HUGE consequences if they stepped out of line... and he knows that. There's no threat.

N Korea tested a nuclear device underground yesterday.

The UN will make sanctions on them. I dont see any war breaking out for the next few years.

well since you thought it was Japan-maybe the reason you you think it is all BS is because you aren't understanding? They apparently set off a nuke-underground-it was a small blast-they have been warned for along time not to-they did anyways-the leader of NK is CRAZY-and they have a HUGE army-BUSH is an asshole and doesn't know how to handle a real threat-just fake weapons of mass destruction in Iraq (his specialty)-the president is refusing a face to face with the crazy NK leader and want to impose "sanctions" on an already long suffering country-since the leader of NK is CRAZY and greedy-he doesn't care-the sanctions won't effect him-only his already long suffering poor people-know he is threatening to launch a missile with a nuke head if UN and USA don't have sit-downs-they launched missiles this summer-but not long ranged-we (USA) believe he only has weapons capable of reaching West coast.
