ur question is too generalized...depends on which drug. think of different drugs having different personalities...so they will exert different characteristics when there's too much.
in general any overdose is very harmful...some will cause pain...some will cause death...some will set u up for some chronic condition.
also keep in mind, some drugs r hard to overdose on and some only require a tiny bit to be lethal.

"hurt"? As in, does it cause you pain?
HECK YES! Depending on what you do, it will cause you pain while you're OD-ing. Certainly the medical treatments will cause you pain (how do you feel about throwing up everything in your guts all at once?). And, until your body recovers, you'll certain hurt for a while.
Does it hurt in other ways? HELL YES! You ever talk with a person who has treated an OD? Or a parent who found their kid dead from an OD? I have! And I gotta tell you, it's the world's worst pain.
If you're asking what I think you're asking... then you need to talk w/ someone who can help you. I'm willing to talk, but in the end you need someone a lot more capable than I am.

Depends on what kind of drug- some mess up your liver really bad- others kidney- and then there is the brain- so it varies-not good- D

Well, besides killing you it will shut down your kidneys, fry your brain, cramp your stomach, either constipate you or give you diarreah, give you heart dysrythmias, muscle spasms, slow down your pulse and breathing. I would not advise it. There are better ways to have fun or get away from it all.
