I believe that when a person is charged with a sexual crime then he/she shoudl be implanted with a chip that could track his progress. So, if a sexual attack occurrs or a young child is kidnapped, then all the sexual predators in the area could very easily be accounted for. that way, lives may be saved b/c there has been extensive research showing that pedophiles will never be cured and sexual predators always pose a danger to society. In short, if you sacrifice your rights by sexually violating a person, you have proven you cannot be trusted without being closely monitored. many of these sexual predators escape justice and carry on ruining lives for years. this needs to be stopped.

yes, while death by firing squad would be fun for everyone we have to respect their stupid rights. How about the guy who had countless women holed up in his sex dungeon? death by maggots perhaps? and this one guy who forced his sex slaves to be each other and tortured them with electricity, then two of them died and he mixed their flesh with dog food and forced the women to eat it. death by what? i don't even know...

i agree that immediate death is also a sufficient answer but that is unrealistic unfortunately. bury them underground and force them to work in a plastics factory until they die? nah, that's no fun.

it's the same concept as the ankle bracelet used for house arrest. except it is inside you and nonremovable. i don't beleive it would start a huge generation of poeple with chippies but i respect your input. perhaps putting a chip in your own child would not be that bad of an idea.

I have a better idea - let's consider sexual crimes on children right up there with murder -( with consideration to 18 year old seniors dating 16 year old juniors in high school/that shouldn't even be considered a crime) and just get rid of all of them. A little to far fetched?

First of all, chips in your children is a HORRIBLE idea. It completely erodes the idea of "freedom". However, for those who perpetrate crimes against humanity, yes they should be under some sort of chip surveillance or something. Pedophiles don't change.
Personally, I don't think they should ever be allowed to mix with society as "normals" again. Death is the preferable option, exile to an island is the second option. Unfortunately, there are way too many people in our society who think that pedophiles should still have rights... thus, chips are a good idea. I agree with you, if you commit the crime, you should have to suck it up and do the time.

First of all, this doesn't look like a question:). However, I can say that it would be against the ethical rules to implant a chip to any person whether they're criminal or not. If you think about that, people will want to try implanting chips to everyone, so that a possible crime can be prevented. I am not defending the criminals, but the idea of implanting chips can be used for the advantage of any person, even for the criminals. Some illegal organizations might implant chips in order to steal or kidnap etc.

I say careful what you wish for. If this did happen it would soon happen for other crimes too. Possibly even you being implanted with a chip or everyone being implanted for tracking purposes. Then whether kidnapped by a predator, the boy friend, the mommy or daddy, they would always know where the little kid is. Why try to search for every predator to see if suzie or johhny is with them. Just implant the kids from birth and you can go directly to them.
It is coming soon for new cars anyways.

Good point. But what about the concept that once one has served his or her time, the "debt to society" is all paid up? Maybe sex crimes should have a life sentence in the first place. Why are sentences for a specified number of years?
