Not everyone can afford a car but that doesn't make them any less than anyone else. I see them standing at the store entrances when it is raining because they are afraid they will get wet walking to their care while those who walk HAVE to get wet. They have no consideration (especially suv owners) when they drive through water and splash the sidewalk where people are walking. They could slow down and be considerate. They are talking on their cellphones and trying to turn against the WALK sign and they sneer because they have to stop and let you walk by. I think it would be good for us to run out of oil for a while so that everyone would have to walk a little and maybe they would learn a little consideration. People in the citys of europe walk and it just seems like those in the US are too lazy to walk anywhere.

as far as sidewalk blocking, there is a construction site near me and the workers park up on the sidewalk and I have had to walk out in the middle of a busy street to get around, they have even told me to cross the street and then come around the area. It is ridiculous as you wouldn't obstruct a roadway, so why block a sidewalk.
