I think about our troops figthing in the wars going on around the world. I also think about my late grandma.

I pay quiet homage to those who have died in battles to save our world from certain doom.

I think about them for a little bit but it ends up turning into a school classroom again as these things usually happen at work and everybody tries not to look at each other and laugh and there's always somebody stuck on the phone somewhere still having to talk away so end up listening to them rather than think. Think they are a good idea in general though it makes people talk about it, I work with people who didn't even know that Japan was nuked in world war 2 so think the anniversary should have been marked with a silence here in England

Every year without fail I stand for the minute silence. I have spent the last 27 years serving Queen and Country and I for 1 think it is our duty to do so. I think not only about my comrades who have fallen in the line of duty but others over the great wars who died to give the people of this Country the right to choose and to give freedom of speech.I have taught my 2 children to do the same and are now both adult enough to choose.

They usually happen when I'm at work, everyone is very serious to begin with but as the silence goes on you try not to make eye contact with anyone and then people's phones start ringing and your trying not to laugh because it feels so uncomfortable and unnatural.

I usually think about my finacial situation. I work part time as a musician and I think about how many notes I'm putting into the air as opposed to how much I'm making. I'm working cheap

To be fair, I usually just give a quick second thinking about them. Then I usually turn my attention to something like how long will this thing take, I'm bored already, God how long?

You don't have to have experienced loss to think of the dead - I think that the problem in today's society is that we all think too much about ourselves. It's a discipline in itself to think of something else - try, you might be surprised! Armistice day is coming up.

I'm not being rude either, but you must be a bit shallow,
or very young !! If all those folk did not die in the defence
of OUR Country, you would probably be in a Glue
Factory, or a breading Farm, unless of course, you are
arian.... please try giving a thought !!

I do. I actually pray for the fallen and their loved ones during "moments of silence"

Hopefully someday you'll feel a loss before you yourself are lost.
