What is the rule on going alone with eight or nine points in eucher

If you go alone, you must make at least 3 tricks in order to get a point and prevent being set, but the goal is to get all 5 tricks by yourself and score 4 points.
I don't know what you mean by eight or nine points, but those are the rules of Euchre.

There is no set rule about going alone at 8-9 points.Some people consider it rude,over kill per say.
