It's not easy. But if you don't want to just forget to put it on or let it fall off, try applying it over makeup, lotions, creams, powders, stuff like that can sometimes make the patch fall off or interfere with how the hormones are absorbed in the skin. Another thing you could do is try to change the shape of the patch by trimming it or maybe using tape to stick it back on. You could try applying the patch on slightly different days each week.

Another thing since the patch doesn't prevent STDs, a lot of doctors recommend going with condoms also, which also makes it more likely you won't get pregnant while on the patch (belt and suspenders approach). Ignore this advice if you want to get pregnant on the patch. If you want to get pregant, but are sick and you need to take antibiotics, don't tell the doctor you are sexually active and on the patch, because otherwise he might prescribe a different medication that won't interefere with the patch.

Anyway, the short answer is yes.

Yes you can. You can get pregnant because the patch only provides the body with extra estrogen that the body already makes but if the patch is not a strong enough dosage you make be in jeporady of getting pregnant ..You should still use condom eventhough you are on birth control because there are still serious diseases you can catch. AIDS is alive and well and the leading cause of death for Black females ages 16-25 in Dallas and a growing amount for white female in the last year. Be careful. Good Luck

Yes, you can get pregnant on the patch. No method of birth control is 100% effective except for sterilization (tubal ligation).

If you believe you may be pregnant, discontinue the patch and get yourself tested for pregnancy in a clinic or doctor's office asap. You should not remain on any form of birth control if you are pregnant.

Yes, nothing is 100 %. Except Abstinence of course. You can read the information that comes with the patch and it will tell you the percentage. It's like 99.5 or something like that.
