First let me say that Hurt really is the best cover song in the world. I get goose bumps every time I hear Johnny Cash sing that. The second best is Smells Like Teen Spirit by Tori Amos.

The second best cover song ever is Dead Horses' cover of "Rock Lobster", originally performed by the B-52's. You're right; Cash really made that song his own.
