It depends on when, where and why you do it. Take a look at the circumstances, who is telling this and what is going on for you. You may be able to figure out what is going on and if it's a bad habit or if you do it because you are anxious or just want to be noticed.

I think It is a good habit...!!!
Let's see, how?
Start from your school days... Your teachers were always talking till making you sleep. When you failed your exam, your mummy and daddy were kept talking till you had had enough. When your sister or brother did something better than you, the braged and braged all day long to the point where you got annoyed with them.
Then a lawyer is famous and sucessful only when he keeps talking. A talkative doctor has many patients. Imagine a sales manager who does know to talk for hours. Think about the politicians, they are famous because they don't stop talking.
Get married, your wife can be one of those non-stop nonsense! (Not every one though) When you get old, you can be a talketive Grandpa, and all the kids in your village likes you and your stories all the time.
If you can't be talkative .. don't you think you are wasting your time. You have somuch stuff in you, you can't stop talking. It is coming out of you like a river.
Don't worry about all those who complain, they are jealous that they can't talk so much as you do.
Enjoy talking. It is a gift from God. Think about those who can not talk. Think about those who have a mouth and voice yet they are in slavery and can't raise their voice. But you are gifted enough go non-stop.
Keep it up. Wish you all the best! Just one request, try to speak something meaning full.

Yes. People are turned off in the company of someone who takes up too much air time. There should be a good balance between being a good conversationalist and being a good listener. Try being a listener; Being too good a listener is never a problem.

not a bad habit...
BUT....make sure that when you open your mouth, you make it count.
If you are just filling up the air with nonsense, best to be quiet.
Make sure you stop and let other people talk...and let them finish their sentences. Don't interrupt.
If you are in a group, pay attention to anyone else who might be trying to say something. Many people feel like they are being rudely excluded from the conversation because every time they try to say something, someone else starts talking over them.

Yes it is. It's a very annoying one also. How can anyone else get their two cents in when you are always hogging a conversation. Plus, people sometimes want quiet time.
