Think about what they would look like when they are playing metal music when they are in their ages of 60's or 70's, or possibly 100's.

bands like that...with talent still sounds great......all of them.. stage presence is a different thing.....some bands look good on tour..and others, in their old age, may not look so good:)

Well, Meatllica is a bad example but i think that as long as metal bands still play good music it dosent matter how old they are. Metallica is washed up, trying too hard and aren't true to their talent anymore.

Well, the Rolling Stones are still playing and they are getting very old (Mick Jagger is 63) and they still put on a good show. I think as along as they are able to keep playing music they should not quit.

obviously you are into the way a band looks rather than their music. if they can still do it like the stones, then god bless them. age means nothing if the music is good. stay away from mtv and you might discover some real music...or just keep on loving the backstreet boys.

I think as long as they still sound good they should keep rocking. But then you have people like Ozzy, no offense to ozzy fans, Love him myself. But he sounded terrible this year at Ozzfest. If you can't do it you should probably give it up. But as for Metallica, I've never really been a fan, but they can still keep up with their music and their fan base.

You are NEVER to old to rock! I don't care for Metallica anymore, but the latest from Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Slayer have all been great.

The older, the more experienced. Check out AC/DC, or the Rolling Stones, they still totally kick ***, if you still rock at 50 & 60 years old....no one can compete with you!

Metallica is washed up, ad they're trying too damn hard to become a "new" band.

They're bring in the Nu Metal and it's terrible.

They need to get with it and retire.

Kiss, Areosmith, Ozzy Osborne (although I still find him awesome) need to just retire.
