audio cd has music files in wav format and can be played in any stereo player. they are huge in size around 40-50mb each.

Data cd has any type of files, wav, rm, mp3, documents, anything u burn into it.

A data cd will leave audio files in the format they are in as stored in your computer (for example mp3). An audio cd will expand music to the format that you can play on any cd player.

Data CD means it will burn CD in the same formate in which the songs or Data r in compute.Like mp3, mp4 etc.
Audio CD means at the time of Burning **** computer converts it in a wav formate.

The data CD can have any file on it .. and it's only readable by PC CD-ROM ... while the audio CD is burned with audio files (.cda usually) .. and it's readable by PC cd-ROM and other CD-Roms like VCD, Stereo CD, and car CD-ROM

No difference in physical terms.
Audio is data (1's and 0's (or dents if you wish to want to know the proper technique)) and this applies to ordinary data too.
Basically, they're the same ;)
