Some think that these creatures, if they exist, are chimeras that have gone wrong. I guess if these creatures were actullay created it would be fornthe same reason astronauts want to go to Mars.

These are purely fantasy creatures. Scientists have attempted, some successfully, to transplant animal organs into humans in rare occassions. A chimps heart has been used in a human when no other donor matches existed. Other than that, stay away from the Sci-Fi Channel.
