If he's acting like such a jerk, I think you should just say, "Okay, I feel the same way." When he asks what you are talking about, just tell him it is obvious by his behaviour that he does not want to be with you anymore, but since he can't bring himself to break it off, you will do it for him! Don't feel bad, honey, it isn't worth it. I went through it for 10 abusive years- don't make my mistake!!

Just tell him. Look at it this way. You're getting hurt by a dork...How does that make u look? There's someone else out there for you that'll do all the things he won't. When you leave him he'll understand what he had and regret not doing those things that your new dude does...Buuuuut, by then it'll be too l8 right? & you'll be over him and he'll just be upset/sad/mad...Oh well though, right? He should've stepped up to the plate. Make your move girl. Thank you. Come again.

be honest tell him the reasons why you dont feel you two should betogether. let him know that a relationship is much more than just having a "boyfriend" "girlfriend" title. tell him you dont want things to turn sour but it's in your both interest that the relationship end. that if you dont end it now in the long run someone will get hurt. you need to be strong enough to be honest about your feelings, because you wont just be playing him, but yourself. and a bad relationship like this could cause you to cheat and if he finds out that way then you did end up hurting him or having him angry at you. just be true to yourself and then true to him (about your feelings)
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

I know how you feel. I went longer than a year. It will hurt him more the longer you drag it out. I finally told mine because I fell in love with someone else. It is best to just get it out. Just tell him that the feeling is gone. That you tried to get it back but you could not do it.

Just tell him this relationship is not meeting your needs. That evn tough you have been together for awhile, is no reason to take you for granted, and you want both of you to be free to seek something more satisfactory. Who knows, maybe he'll reconcile. Good luck with whatever you do.

It's not fair to either one of you to stay if you know you're unhappy. Just be blunt about it, straight to the point is the best way in my opinion.

Someone always gets hurt in a breakup. Both can be hurt. You just have to do it.
