My g/f (we are in our 30s) has a 15yo son who doesnt respect her in any way and is pretty unruly in general. She on the other hand has mentioned that she feels her parenting skills are lacking, which they are greatly. He is in counseling for his behaviour but id like to get her help on how to get better parenting skills. Where do i start? I may even get she and i relationship counseling as well to help us deal with her son. Thats the easy part but how do i get her help on how to be a better parent? We live in Indianapolis.

The kids councelor shoudl be working with the issue at hand with the boy and the mother,, I feel ALL boys at age 15 should HAVE TO go live with their father, to whip them into shape,,

All to often a young testosterone boy will feel his oats and ALPHA dog his mother, unless she has had a heavy hand on him all through his life,, young men same as mammals, always buck the system and with no MAN in his life he is looking to be leader of the pack over his mother,,

if the councelor is not helping her, dump him and look for another councelor,

Part of the problem I immediatly see is he is in counseling, maybe they should both be. It sounds like they both need to learn to deal with the situation together.

confident, i think of its a great thought, on the grounds which you saying which you extremely prefer to attempt, shows how lots enhanced you're. in case you prefer my suggestion, each and every so often in counselling it variety of feels like your being %. on. yet everybody does have a piece to play in a difficulty and you'll have the means to choose your section. (not being rude, in simple terms truthful) Alcoholism is a ailment, and between the toughest addictions to drop, and to stay with as a relative... i in my view comprehend that x once you do ultimately meet up with your mum and dad lower back, you should be arranged; they might not of replace in any respect, yet then on the otherhand they may be thoroughly diverse which to that end try to be waiting to forgive all they did and stated to you, and flow on with a sparkling slate. everybody merits a 2d danger, and you should have your mum and dad on your existence, mum and dad who're there for you and assist you, so the least you should do is supply them of undertaking to be the mummy and dad they should of continuously been. do not forget that in case you do go with to enable them to lower back on your existence, to set floor regulations, that way you will sense secure, preserve and on top of problems with the courting.... wish i helped somewhat xx
