I always do at least 3 or 4. My favorite kind is Lash Perfection by Max Factor. It works great, no clumps!

Voluminous by loreal and Hypnose by Lancome. You can use as many coats as you want as long as you let each coat dry before applying a new one , and run a lash comb through your lashes to de clump them. Every time I do this people ask me if I'm wearing false eyelashes.

Maybelline great lash in Blackest Black. I usually put two or three coats on and use an old mascara brush from an old tube to go through and make sure lashes are separated. this type of mascara is most used by make up artist and has been boted the top used mascara, so that's how i stumbled upon it.

I don't have a set number of strokes, I just use however much is necessary to acheive the look I want. I always buy different brand mascaras and I found Covergirl(I think) Super Thick Lash to really work. But now I'm using Lash Exact (the one in the purple tube) and I think it's amazing!

I use Maybelline Great Lash, 2 coats, tops. It never clumps, always makes my eyes look amazing, and has been around forever!

I use Cover Girl Lash Exact. I only need one coat. It's got the new kind of brush so it goes on really easy and clean. I love it!

I use Avons new Mascara super full in black and I use one layer. They have this cool new brush that doesn't clump and makes your lashes look great. Almost fake but it looks good on Salma Hayek!

I use Lancome Definicils and I just need one coat. It's great stuff and LITERALLY stretches my lashes to my eyebrows. I don't know how it does that. No clumps too. I'm always getting compliments

I always use one coat of jet black Cover Girl mascara, to much looks fake and thick. But as long as it looks good, go for it!
