And I've played sports and used tampons before so I don't think it is the hymen breaking.

Your hymen may have still been in tact or simply have been partially broken or stretched from tampon use and sports.

There should be sex prior to penetration, ideally to orgasm, to make sure the vagina is lengthened and lubricated enough for penetration, if that was not the case it may have been that your body was not ready for penetration so vaginal splitting could have occurred from lack of lubrication or lack of give in the vagina.

I wouldn't say 'normal' however it is very common as many people believe in the myth that sex the first time should be painful so don't question that or fully educate themselves. As long as there is no risk of STD's and it stops soon there is not too much need to worry, just make sure you are well educated about your body and fully prepared for penetration.

hahahaha... WOW... thats a huge myth dear ***that if you play sports and use tampons... your hymen will break***... It doesnt. You are bleeding because of you breaking your hymen from having sex. Yes, its normal to bleed for a few days and probably after every time you have sex for about a month to a year. Just depends on you. Whoever told you that whole thing about sports and tampons is reitterating a myth thats gone on for FAR too long... its just simply NOT true.

Your hymen can still be intact after using tampons or even masturbating. It is very normal to bleed for a few days after your first time. I still bleed sometimes afterward and I've had 3 kids. Any number of things can cause that. Rough sex comes to mind first, not being wet enough second.

It's likely just your hymen breaking.

At least it happened the first time, mine didn't break until my fifth partner, four years after my first time.

Yes hun it is, I know its very uncomfortable, my first time I thought I was going have to tell my mom and go to the emerency room.. but it will pass.

PS But if your worried, go with your intutions, I had intercourse about amonth ago and I bleed bad, (he wasn't my first) and I went to the docotor and it turns out I had a cyst that was bleeding from the pressure.

Yes, as long as it is not heavy. If I don't have sex for awhile I experience it as well.
