Nah ur wrong there, it is a cloak and dagger thing with N Korea, we are sitting back and watching them, now you must remember the crazy little self proclaimed dictator of that country, he is slightly more imbalanced than what Saddam hussein was/is. Saddam didn't show his cards like Kim Yun did, plus that short little basatard has a very large army, don't get me wrong though, we do have some the best trained Soliders in the World, that's right the World. So if the time came, we'd play hard ball with the little saw off runt. But we also have to remember he is playing ball with Hugo Chavez, another self proclaimed Dictator in Venezuela. He has not showed his cards yet, but has shown he has the money to Finance getting what he wants with all of his Dirty Oil money..Think about it, who has the largest show of force in the Gulf right now we do...

I suppose taking on Russia during the cold war while taking on Germany, Japan, and Italy during the second world war seems like pissant little countries to you, but I think we have fought our fair share of bullies, including Saddam. North Korea is an Asiatic country, therefore Asiatic countries need to take the lead on this one. Bush will not go it alone and I think that is fair.

We went to Iraq fearing one day Saddam could develop nuclear weapons. If we thought Saddam already had them, we may not have attacked. It could have caused 10,000 to 100,000 casualties with on bomb carried in on a few camels backs. That is why as a detterent Saddam made the world think he had WMD's.

"Do you think the USA looks like a yellow bellied coward after running away from N. Korea?"

No but I'd like to see you standing on the Korean DMZ with an M-16 and see the expression on your face when thousands
of North Koreans and Chinese come racing and screaming in your direction with a hail of artillery and gunfire.

I bet you'd be the first to run.

north korea isnt a threat at the moment and doesnt have a role in the plan just yet ... the ultimate objective is asia and China and to out-maneuver them strategically for the future ... but right now at the present that plan calls for subjugating and controlling the most strategic place on earth ... the middle east .... after iran and syria are put down look for the US to pop bases up around the pacific and strengthen forces in that area ... slowly increasing forwardly deployed forces to match and hem in a strengthening asia/china .... the bottom line is that north korea needs to be kept on a short leash but not dealt with yet ... they will be dealt with when the time comes to confront china ...

Why exactly should we do anything to N. Korea. What harm have they caused us that we should delegate whether or not they have nuclear weapons just like we do. We are so big and bad that we are going to delegate what other countries do and we should be the only country with nuclear weapons? Give me a break. We can't just go around attacking everybody for what they might do or what they have or might have.

Yes. The U.S. does look like a coward for running away from N. Korea. We look like cowards for using diplomacy. I think we all need to realize that Kim Jong IL is insane. Diplomacy won't work. Now, what will work is about 1/4 million bombs dropped across the ENTIRE country of N. Korea. When all of them are dead, we could either give it to S. Korea, or make it a new state in our collection. War is necessary in this situation.

Is the U.S.A. the only country that can solve the worlds problems. When a problem comes up the world wants the US to fix it and if things don't work out the way they want then the USA is to blame.I think it is time for the rest of woorld to stand up and be counted and be counted on

Another county heard from...

The explosion that occurred the other day (no proof it was it nuke, no reason to believe it was and no reason to believe it wasn't) is Kim Jong "Mentally" il's method of forcing the US into bi-lateral talks.

The US and our allies and trading partners all insist on multi-lateral talks because NK poses a threat primarily to other countries, not the US. Yes indirectly and perhaps in the future, but Japan, South Korea, China, and the rest of Asia have legitimate concerns right now.

Multi-lateral talks are the only way to handle the crisis, or it will be another case of the US giving into nutjob dictators.

Why is the U.S.A. a coward ..for not having attacked a country that has not attacked us?
Where is the logic in starting a nuclear war? Nice troll, but thumbs down, turkey

I agree Republicans are weak on nuclear terrorism. Clinton signed a agreement with N.K. that we would give oil for energy so N. Korea would not build nuclear plants. As soon as Bush invaded Iraq North Korea broke the agreement but that did not make the news back then. Just more proof that the Republican are producing terrorist more then stopping.
