are there things at work that you can do to help forcast or other departments if you do not have enough to do. I would inform the employer that you are not being challenged. They might be able to find more for you do.

What kind of work do you do? If its an office job, go around the office and see if someone else needs help... I would not be caught again playing games or you could be out of a job... there is always something that needs to be done regardless of where you work. Cleaning, ask your boss for more work to do etc. Sounds like you are bored with this job but if you like it, find a way to keep busy.

you can only really gain points by telling the boss that you feel unchallenged and that you DO want to be productive but in order to 'produce' you have to be managed perhaps more directly. A manager who is letting an employee get away with playing games on the computer also has to take responsibility for not managing properly (but don't say that for Goodness Sake!)

Always appear busy. Pull up a file that is already complete and minimize your game screen so when the boss appears he/she only see a document where it appears that you are working on it. You can always place a mirror on your desk to peek or see when someone it behind you.

Are you really asking how to appear to be more productive? Don't get caught playing games.

Well, Get off Yahoo! answers. Just avoid playing on the internet all together. You'll have to have something to do so maybe it will be your work.

Try to prioritise. Do those that are urgent first. This might sound straight forward but a lot of people don't get that.
