When we bought the house it was only on my credit cause she was unemployed. So can they still come after our house? (Bank accounts now are separate.)

She has tons of delinquent stuff cause I will not longer pay it. I have no idea what all she bought. Enough is enough. How great is my jeopardy? How great is my woe?

If you were married before you bought the house, it's still partly hers. If you were married before she got all the credit cards, the debt is also yours. One of my co-workers just lost a lot in his divorce after 23 yrs of marriage and her name wasn't on the house, cars, nothing but she got 1/2 of the value of everything even though she didn't work until 5 yrs ago and he also had to pay off 1/2 of her credit cards. My boyfriend also had to pay 1/2 of his ex-wife's debt when they got divorced. It's marital assets and debt. I don't know what state you are in but in Michigan EVERYTHING is 50/50 when a marriage is over when debt is concerned. If she leaves you, you are S.O.L. so your debt or not, get them paid off.

Not sure where the other two people that answered are getting their information from but both previous answers are wrong. If the house is in your name they cannot take it from you unless your listed on these cards with her. If you are not on her cards, these creditors cannot touch you! We still have our own individual credit regardless if your married or not!! Credit reports are not joint between married couples. With that regard we are all separate individuals when it comes to your credit reports etc...
As for your wife, she needs to get a job and pay her debts... if she wants to play, she needs to pay!

Sounds like you're dead meat. They can definitely go for you. In partnership setups, creditors can always come after the partner B if partner A is broke. Same goes to the banks and authorities against you.
