Try going to a search engine like http://www.google.com or http://www.yahoo.com and type "DSL Cable " and hit enter. Make sure you enter your city and state in place of and you should get a nice list of all the possible services in your area.

If you have verizon wireless mobile, then you should be able to use their nationwide access card which will allow you to use the internet anywhere you go. Otherwise, I would stick to either charter or comcast....and for DSL you might want to try your local telephone company. Many local telephone companies offer a variety of fast access internet service.

Check out wireless services - they are becoming more and more available in limited-service areas. However, they only work line-of-sight with wherever their antenna is located - usually on top of a hill.

Most services are from local carriers, and mine is $20 a month. Not as fast as cable, but much faster than dial up!

Sprint also has a wireless card that you can connect to your laptop or PC for service. Otherwise, check with your cable company. They often have cable modems for internet access that's reasonably priced.

move closer to civilization so you cant get high-speed.

my Dad lives real far in the country and they have a server Ive never heard of, and its the only one that connects to his area, I would call your local cable or phone server and ask of all the companies who service your address
