How come if somebody posts a racist, sick, or otherwise derogatory question, people will ignore it or give them a brief answer like, "You're sick." But if a kind person asks a sensitive or thoughful question, people will spend time writing paragraphs about how they are overreacting, need help, are self-centered, etc.?

Stop and think a min. Isn't it nice to see that some people will try and answer the questions with an honest heart. However I do see where your coming from. I guess it takes all kinds. Have a good day.

I think it's because some people just want to see the way people react. I have seen thoughtful questions on here and I try to give the same respect back. Then again, I have read some questions that I would like to slap the person that wrote it. I guess it's my mood too.

It's best to ignore the former. So it's good to know that many people do.
As for the second, it depends on the question and how it's perceived.

Because everyone's a asshole. You'll get those ppl. But you'll also receive ppl with decent answers.
