To announce that Joe Torre will be back as manager.
The NY daily news and ESPN reported that he would be fired and Lou Pinella would be hired.
This is the 2nd time in a week that they have been wrong. They also announced Terrell Owens tried to commit suicide and then took it back.
The need to be first in a story is a joke; the media is often wrong.
