I guess this means that the emotional, fearful and childlike parts of your psyche were 'acting out' and 'thinking' during safe sleep and dream time.
Much as you would love to remain carefree and cared for, to be nurtured and loved for just being, regardless of all other factors, a part of you realises that this cannot always be the case.
Time moves on, people come and go, events occur, accidents happen. Your real insight is that you know this.
Much as you want to remain cared for and child like, those days are going.....gone and responsibility for you and your actions has to be taken up by you alone. Yes, even against a whole 'sea of troubles' there will only ever really be you. This apparently sad , frightening dream, is recognising a rite of passage you are undergoing from child to adult. As a potentially mature person you are already glimpsing this scary truth and preparing for it. Your grandmother prepared you appropriately, but can no longer do this. You recognise and honour her contribution, but know its getting time to gird your loins and take on the world yourself.
I don't think you should understand the dream as a literal prophecy. Its just your mind communicating with your current self in visual and narrative metaphors. Learn its language and take heed of its advice always.

sounds like you really miss your grandmother... the fact that she was with you and called you cupcake is a comforting side , then the sudden tornado may represnt turmoil... your feelings are not clear so your dreams will not be either...also the fact that you looked everywhere and could not find her could mean you havent fully eccepted your loss... good luck - i have really weird dreams as well and there is always some meaning to them...and i am sorry for your loss

I would say it means that you miss your grandma, and the tornado represents the helplessness you feel to do anything about it.

she was probabley just letting you know, that although you feel lost and your world feels like its fallen apart, that as "she" put it everything is going to be ok.
