If you're happy then that is all that matters. Tell your friends you're fine and dandy on your own. My dad is a loner and loves to potter around the house on his own. He even gets annoyed sometimes when people come over to visit. Make sure you don't exclude your friends and lose them though because no man is an island, we all need company sometimes.

Most of everyone in my social circle is deeply concerned for my wellbeing because I've never had a girlfriend. But I look at all the situations that could possibly GET me one, and most of them involve drinking and raving, which I really don't want a part of.
