I've dated this guy off and on for the last 16 years 5 times to be exact. I've left him every time but for some reason I find my self with him again after a year or two. i don't understand why I keep gong back help me.

It is comfortable and easy. Dating is hard and it seems easier to just go back to something you already know rather than get out there and find someone you want to be with. If you have left him 5 times, you need to MOVE ON!! Obviously there is something missing in the relationship or you wouldn't leave. Get out there and date and find someone who has all the qualities you need. And stay away from this guy from now on. You need to sit down and really think about what it is that makes you go back to him......lonely? friendship? low self esteem? And work on that.

think u should be a lil more detail, why u guys keep breaking up, if he keeps on doing things that hurt u and direspect u, u should take a hint that he's gonna continue to be the same. i dont think thats the relationship u wanna be in. whether being with someone whos gonna treat u the way u want to be treated.

Because with him you re not able to find somebody better! When you are lonely, it is easy to go to someone who is comfortable. People in a healthy relationship do not go on and off. Lose him for good and find someone you could not stand to be without!

I did that but it was only for two years....I know for me it was almost like I found pleasure in the pain he brought. But no really it was a comfort zone that I mad I can't go back to cause I can't find him

kinda like why do women stay with men that abuse them. it is that there is a physcological hold they have on you. Your wanting something from this man apparently he can't give you. Search down deep and look for what you truly want for you. Oh and BTW love yourself first.

YOU HAVE DOOR MAT SYNDROME, YOU LIKE TO BE WALKED ALL OVER. OR YOU ARE DYSFUNCTIONAL, AND IF THAT IS THE CASE YOU WILL NEVER MOVE ON BECAUSE YOU LIKE THIS KIND OF DYSFUNCTION. IF YOU WANT TO GET BETTER FIGURE OUT WHY YOU KEEP REPEATING THIS SAME CYCLE. AND FIX IT.
