Saying "excuse me" just means that you claim it, and might possibly be sorry for popping one off around other people. There is no chance that it will wash away the nastiness of it, though.....most tend to linger. *wafts air*

hey, it's an involuntary bodily function. Accept "excuse me" and move on. Although I know there are situations when it is possible to hold back and give people a break, sometimes it is what it is.
