The doctor will tell you not to take pickles if you are hypertensive. I suppose some get a craving for pickles and it is okay otherwise to take if you don't have a medical problem that can be directly linked to pickles.
No, your are not going to swell because of the pickles.

Actually, I drink pickle juice, I feel like i have to have it and my doctor said stop doing that because pickles have so much salt that it was making my hands and feet swell more than they normally would. So i would recommend eating pickles just dont eat the whole jar and drink the pickle juice at the same time.

It's not the pickles - it's the salt. If you eat too much salty foods you will retain water - your feet, ankles, and fingers will swell.

They're salty, and salt makes you retain water. I lose my ankles every time I eat a couple of salty meals and get them back after I have cut out the salt for a day or 2.

you are FINE, there is nothing wrong with this. prenatals are actually more for you than the baby. even if you didnt take them the baby would still get everything it needed, but YOU would feel terrible... as for the sodium intake just make sure you are combating all that sodium with plenty of water and you will be just fine.

Exessive amount of sodium will cause you body to hold water. The more sodium, the more water you retain. That is why diet sodas oftem advertise how low on sodium they are.
