You could change your phone number - but obviously this would be inconvenient for you as you will have to let all your friends know etc. etc. But this would probably be the most effective way.
If the messages are abusive or intimidating in anyway, you could report it to the police - harrassment - and they could have a word with him. In the first instance it would probably be classed as a "no crime" incident and he would receive a warning that if he continues he would be liable to arrest. Most certainly, if they are abusive then you should report it.
Have you actually TOLD him that you no longer wish to receive text messages from him? If not, I would recommend that you do so prior to making any formal reports.

Change you phone number.
Or
Get a new, bigger boyfriend and show him the texts.
Or
Seriously though, if he is threatening, or abusive you should report him to the cops. Otherwise he will just carry on, with you and any other poor girl that might dump him (I'm assuming you are female),

report it to the police they take it as seriously as nuisance phone calls. Get a crime reference number and if you are a contract your mobile phone network can either change your number or it may be easier just to get a new Sim

hey probably he wants to say something. Listen to him for a while . but if its a problem that u cannot solve or it causes u to go back on your jinx and deadlock with him, then leave it let him know that .
If the conversation turns abusive and violent u can call the police or women's cell
