She has been complaining recently, once in a while, that the light hurts her eyes, and that her head aches. The last couple days she has had tummy pain and a little diarrhea. Last night she drank her whole bottle of water that we send her to bed with each night-she usually just takes sips and has plenty left over in the morning. Today she has been very lethargic, tired and weak, not wanting to get up and play, barely able to climb the stairs, and refusing her favorite cookies. I have called the doctor and left a message, but I hate waiting for them to call back, so I thought I would put the question out to you and see if any one has any ideas. THANKS!

FYI: Doctor called back, wants me to bring her in. For any of you who care, I will write an update when I get back from the doctor and let you know what he said.

I wouldnt wait for the doctor to call back. Take your child to the emergency room! It could be something as simple as a virus, or something more serious. You didnt mention whether or not she has a fever. If so, that means there is some type of infection, not just a virus.

Hopefully you haven't waited for the doctor and you are on your way to the ER. Lethargy is a sign of dehydration. Diarrhea can cause dehydration. And not taking things in can just make the problem worse. Please don't wait for the doctor. Go to the ER. At least they can get some fluids into her.

Way left field here, she may need glasses--I have a 10yr old and she had similar symptoms then, but I thought it was a virus.
2nd, it could be a virus. Is she getting much rest? Her eating habits also tell you that she is not well. She could be dehydrated. Call your doctor again--this is your child who is 3 and does not understand "call back" when she is not feeling well.

Keep calling the doctor. They should be in the office by now. Sometimes it takes a while for them to listen to all their messages.

Does she have a temp?
If so,it doesn't sound good at all.
I don't want to freak you out but I think you better just take her in.
Ask her if her neck and/or head still hurts.
These are signs of meningitis. Which is a very fast moving illness and time is of the essence.
Like I said, please don't freak out, just go with your instincts.
Better safe than sorry. Good Luck.

on the grounds that your mum is prepared and you are trying to make a destiny for your self, i don't think of you're incorrect to contemplate it. Six months isn't as long because it sounds and interior the long-term you would be encouraging her to "choose for it" in her very own existence. you are able to save up a correspondence together with her on the internet, with a digicam. i exploit Skype to bypass to my grandchildren. (it is loose!) maybe you are able to bypass domicile quicker or later to interrupt up the time, yet while not, i don't think of you're incorrect - i think of you're in a terrific place to get excitement from the holiday and be taught lots. in the adventure that your mum became unwilling, or in case you have been leaving for longer than six months, i could sense in yet in any different case, yet on your case i think of it is going to be fantastic. Have a great time. playstation Any danger your mum and daughter ought to comprise you? that could make the holiday much extra perfect.

Sounds like she's sick - it could be an infection of some kind. I agree with the other person who said take her to the ER, this sounds like something that could be serious.
