This is because like all so called public utility companies they are only interested in how much money they can get out of their customers to fund directors pension funds, they think that all customers are fools and laugh all the way to the bank. There is in fact no such thing as a public utility it is a private monopoly run by crooks for crooks and there is unfortunately not a lot you can do about it as all governments especially this one are in thrall to the money men and drug dealers who run these so called utilities

I believe that the problem is the name at the front "BRIITISH"names like BRITISH< ROYAL like Royal maill
royal navy royal marines. HM, hm police HM armed forces HM prison service will all have to go (secretly) An established way of sabotaging a company is to make it incompatant, bring in ignorant hard nosed management to treat the workforce like dirt causing them to strike blaming them, for striking sell of and privatise and remove the word British. As regards the forces they will become part of the great European Army, the postal service have already had problems. THe interfearence with the regiments
may also be part of a streamlining to create a smaller cheaper force becaus in the E>U> we wont need as bigger army, dont look at what you are being told look at what your not being told.

I`m amazed that you expect to hear from British Gas if you complained to them! You will have more success knitting with fog than getting them to provide good customer service.
Shame about the 1st class stamp you wasted!!

'Cos they're a bunch of w******!
This is quite uncanny. I was thinking of sending in a Q. just like yours.
In March 2006, I opted for paperless (online) billing. Since then I have had no bills, although they're still taking my DD.
I e-mailed them a week ago, when they said they'd get their Fault Team onto it. I'm still waiting!
At least I am (and you are) not alone!

Partly because they are lazy bastards, and partly because they don't like any obvious sign that they are in the wrong. So in the event that you actually manage to solve your problems with them, don't expect a written apology, you will never get one.

Sorry you are dealing with an arrogant national utility company who does not accept that anyone has any complaints against them (they even disregarded letters from my solicitor)
