Figgens has been a major leaguer for six seasons, Cabrera for four seasons, Uggla, this was his rookie season, and Howard just wrapped up his third season in the majors.. a prosepct is someone with fewer than 100 ABs or 50 IPs.. or 91 days or fewer on a major league roster.. Based on the question, in my opinion, and others have mentioned some very good prospects, but Detroit's Andrew Miller is projected to be better than Verlander.. He was drafted in the first round this past June and was called up in September, where he showed some raw talent.. He needs some polish, obvously.. but in ten innings (and fresh from the college world series) he gave up only 8 hits, but walked ten and batters hit .205 against him.. He'll likely be a top of the rotation guy in Detroit, maybe by mid summer 2007..

Again, a prospect is a young guy not already in the majors. Check out these:
Troy Tulowitzki SS(A Cal Ripkin clone with a cannon arm.)
Juan Morillo RHP (Big kid who averages 95-97 mph)
Ubaldo Jimenez (Tops out at 101 mph)
One of the last two will be the Rocks #5 pitcher. That is a hell of a back end of the rotation.
Jeff Baker RF- (Right now hes an outfielder but he will be either first or third if the Rocks trade Helton-Maybe for Vernon Wells?)

The best PROSPECT in MLB is probably Delmon Young. The guys you have above are already proven MLB players...prospects are usually minor league guys.
But given what Young did in a short time, I think he would be considered the top prospect.

The only one on your list that even comes close to being a hot
prospect is Dan Uggla and he proved himself this year with the
Marlins. My choice would be Kevin Kouzmanoff of the Indians.
They already made Aaron Boone a free agent so it will be Andy
Marte and Kouzmanoff vying for 3b

Without a doubt, it has to be Adam Wainwright of the Cardinals.

if you are talking for 2007, I think you need to look at Alex Gordon 3B for KC.
