you dont' have to be "thin" to be attractive but some people are grossly overweight. i am not thin and do need to lose some weight but i don't want to be anorexic either. also your bone and body structure has a lot to do with it. personnally the smallest size i could get is maybe a size 10 otherwise I would look crackish. as long as your are healthy people come in all shapes and sizes. and the fact that the majority of the food we eat has hormones doesn't help.

Being thin, has been made attractive by the media.
Just because the media has inundated the public with this thought it doesn't mean that everyone agrees.
It use to be a sign of wealthiness to be fat, the fatter you were the richer you were.

It really depends on who u ask and are u talking about men. women or both?I have male friends who find thin women attractive, and i have male friends who find thin women disgusting and only date women who are really curvy. And then i have girlfriends who date only thin men & i have girlfriends who like huskier men. It's all in the eye of the beholder. Me personally, i think to be skinny is really nasty. I dont want to see anyones bones poking out. But also being toooo overweight is not attractive either. An in between balance is not only sexy, but its HEALTHY.

Yes, they do want to be attractive. Unfortunately, most people don't feel they measure up when it comes to being attractive. They rely on comfort food to replace the good vibes you get from feeling good about yourself. Then the more weight they gain, the more they give up on trying to attain society's idea of "attractive." It's a vicious cycle propelled by the "feel good now" American Society.

It's hard when every where you look there's bill boards and TV commercials about food. We all know it's unhealthy but when you've been eating the same foods since child hood it's hard not to want it. Who said skinny was attractive...I don't want to see any ones bones popping out.

well....SKINNY is not attractive... Most people like people with bodies. Not stick figures.
and the body mass index classifies almost everyone as overweight. Even if they are not fat, just healthy.

Yes, but they also respond to tantalizing commercials about food and than are served enough food for two people. Its easy to get addicted to fat, salt and sugar. Some people use food for comfort also.
