Race and culture are two different things. Just because someone shares the same race does not mean they share the same culture.
A race is a distinct population of humans distinguished in some way from other humans. The most widely observed races are those based on skin color, facial features, ancestry, and genetics. Conceptions of race, as well as specific racial groupings, are often controversial due to their impact on social identity hence identity politics. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race)
The word culture comes from the Latin root colere (to inhabit, to cultivate, or to honor). In general, it refers to human activity; different definitions of culture reflect different theories for understanding, or criteria for valuing, human activity. Anthropologists use the term to refer to the universal human capacity to classify experiences, and to encode and communicate them symbolically. They regard this capacity as a defining feature of the genus Homo. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture)

Seriously, you make a good point. A white professional in Boston does not have the same culture as a white rancher in Texas, for example. Neither does someone from the Dominican Republic have the same culture as someone from Peru, even though they are both under the umbrella label "Latinos."

It's because these countries are based on multiple cultures,
moreso than races. You have the Italians, Germans, French,
English, Scottish, etcetera. Whites don't have the same culture,
the same as non-whites. Orientals, Blacks, Southeast Asians,
and Indigenious people around the world have different cultures
as well.
