delete some new temp unwanted file after u deleted ur stuff and empty recycle bin. now search for the file that u last deleted. if it finds it, the other files are also there somewhere, but usually u wont find them.

The only way to actually delete a file is to write over the file. Some of these programs says they do but I havn't tested it. Most people wouldn't know how to get a file back once it's been deleted.

no--I work in Info Security
you need a special software tool set, maybe reinstalling the OS
But all security people say that unless you run over and burn the drive, the ones and zeros that store data are still there

This is also true now for cell phones pagers blsackberry, etc
In 2007 there will be more problems

you can try CCleaner....

use it to clear your cache,history,cookies & recycle bin....

theres a setting in it to do a "secure deletion" with 1-7 passes.

You could do a search for a file shredder. Then even if the file can be found, the information will be gone.
