We all wish for safe homes for children, but isn't killing a fetus the ultimate form of hurting a child? A fetus can fully feel pain at 12 weeks, many abortions take place after that.

You know, I've never thought of it that way, but you have a VERY good point......
I have always been against abortion, unless it was STRICTLY a medical issue where it HAD to be done for some sort of medical reason.
I believe that as soon as there is a heart beat, there is life. And that happens before 12 weeks of being pregnant. At twelve weeks, the fetus has a heart beat. In an ultrasound, you can even see the tiny vertabrates in the spine. ( Trust me, I had an ultrasound at this time in my pregnancy) To me an abortion is murder. We are playing God, and no I am not a religious person. But I think that if there really is a God, then a human being has NO RIGHT to kill one of God's creations. God gives life, and God takes life. It's not up to us to determine that.
I feel that any harm to a child is bad, but yes MURDER is the ultimate from. Whether we are talking about a fetus, which people don't see as being a living child, or the murder of a born baby or older. And to know that, yes, that baby can feel itself being ripped and sliced out of the womb is an awful horrific thought. And for anyone to be so cruel to torment a helpless being is COMPLETELY disgusting. But it all just shows how SELFISH the human race really is. Most abortions are done because people don't want the baby. Well that's what birth control pills are for. And condoms. MURDER IS NOT AND SHOULD NEVER BE USED AS A FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL!!! Think of all the people out there that can't HAVE THEIR OWN children. And here we are, allowing perfectly healthy fetuses being slaughtered by self indulgent irresponsible people, who just didn't want to.
I'm sorry. I got a little off track. But I do think you are right. It is definately the ULTIMATE form of abuse...it's actually more.....

No, I think sexual abuse is worse, or anything for that matter, because the kids tend to live through it, and then in turn abuse their children.
