You can be charged w/ murdering a fetus according to the Unborn Victims of Violence Act. But this only applies to external murder, not internal

In Britain, the fetus's right to live is taken into account - which is why there is a time-limit on when a woman can have an abortion.
However - I think your question is pertinent. Abortion is about a woman's right to choose what is best for her own body - and the psychological effects of abortion are often devastating. Unfortunately, very little is made of this.
I think it is right and good that legal abortions are available. Legal abortions are safer and cleaner than illegal abortions - which many women would seek if abortions were made illegal.
I agree with you in that currently it seems almost too easy to get an abortion to the extent that it is seen as a form of contraception. There is no simple answer or simple solution. Compassion on both sides helps a lot.

Abortion is not about the right to choose. There are many reasons for abortion (not to say I agree or disagree with them)
1- In case of rape...the genetic disposition to be violent and have mental disorders from the rapist could be pasted to the child. What child would want to be a product of rape.
2- If it is a case where the mothers life is in danger due to age, illness or other things. Women get diagnosed with Breast cancer while pregnant. So keep the baby and die when it's born??
3- Some people don't want the baby and know that when it came down to it they could not give it up and then we have a mother who don't want to be a mother and who doesn't have the heart to do what's right and give up the baby.
Now a lot of those situations could go the other way and work out but it is because of those that don't that we need to have the option available.
Is it over used? Yes but it is not fair to take that option away from those that NEED it because people take advantage.

could no longer inform you. i think of prostitution could be legal. It has befell because time immemorial, it quite is nonetheless occurring now, regardless of being unlawful...as long as each and every physique is a consenting person, i could think of legalizing it may recommend extra suitable HC and BC. @ BC-a fetus isn't a toddler and your god is a sadistic SOB if he knew Hitler 'interior the womb' and nonetheless permit the incestuous being pregnant proceed effectively @ armchair-WTF? 'willfully conceiving a newborn then aborting it'...who in the international does that? @ patches, i'm a ;'lerftie' who is familiar with different lefties and that i haven't heard any of them say no person has the suited to 'choose' their youngster's training. I have not any concern with inner maximum faculties present, even nevertheless the final public are catholic and it does not complication me in any respect that 'selection' is enormous open for faculty, given the money is there.

I agree.
When Roe vs Wade was passed it was with hopeful intentions that abortion would NOT be used as birth control; but as a last resort for despirate women to free them. This all happenend at the advent of the massive new "Birth Conrol" devices (pill, condums, sponges) in the 1960's ... so I wonder why abortion is still a popular birth control method?
Ironically, women have "Trapped" themselves into another (if not worse) social trap - Objectivity. Many abortions today are being used for birth control; women who fear that a baby will ruin their body. So, life is denied (killed, murdered) so that many woman can further their desire to increase their social standing as being an object.
Motherhood has for the first time in history received a "Social" stigma about it. This lowers all of human dignaty. We're seeing so many man and women with high levels of "Self-Hate". I can only speculate this with societies mocking of motherhood and societies "Monitary" value based on the marketablity of the woman's body (pre-birth body). Sexuality does include having a baby ... it completes the sexual act.
Life doesn't need a monitary value ... life is priceless ... a gift from God!!! Our society is trying to tell us that life is worthless ... I'm not buying it anymore.

I can almost understand your concern but if you can't be charged with murder for killing a fetus during a crime, then how can you justify saying that it is killing it by aborting it?
Why is it so hard to understand that we have no right to tell someone else what they can and can not do with their bodies ?
If you disagree then that is you right but I don't so therefore does that make me wrong?

You can do whatever you think is right. And you can go ahead and think that whatever I do is wrong. However, the decision is still mine to make. And, you are not going to sway anyone with illogical arguments and assumptions. Abortion is not about a woman's right to choose what is best for her own body, although of course she has that right also. Abortion is about the choice to not carry out a pregnancy, for whatever reason. Please mind your own business, and stay out of mine. I feel neither guilt nor shame, and you can not elicit those feelings in me, nor can you succeed in your efforts to change me. I do not share your values. I do not care what you think.

so the unborn future woman has the same rights as the woman who's carrying her?do you recommend just aborting male fetuses? is that what you're saying? where are all these rights that people have bestowed upon themselves? is there a site for "i have the right to...."? your point is skewed and makes no sense.

Because it isn't a person.
(BTW, people who keep babbling about abortion being used as birth control don't know what they're talking about. Also, abortion is NOT readily available in much of the country as doctors who are willing to risk their lives to perform them are few and far between.)
If you really want to stop abortion, you should fight for sex education that teaches birth control, and wide availability of birth control.
Criminalizing abortion doesn't stop it, it just kills the desperate women who find themselves pregnant when they don't want to be.
