well if you havent thought of it then it doesnt exist to you. you have to perceive something in order for it to exist to you. with out the mind and its ability to perceive then nothing would exist.

From the book of a great Yogi :
"With advances in science the world seems less of a material type and more like a manifestation of mind power - whether individual, collective or of the divine".
This statement is a quote in the Yogi's book.
He has picked it up from the book by Sir James J Lin
with the title "General nature of Science" or something like that.
I hope this answers your question quite a bit.
Ever tried to create an apple from thin air by just using your thought ?
I am sure you will not be able to.
So that completes the answer to this question.
I will summarize the answer for you over here :
"Anything that exists is a thought or its expression (manifestation). The thought could be an individual's, collective thought, of a society or nation or an International thought or of the Divine, the God."

In essence, yes - but also no. As Rene Descartes said: "Cogito Ergo Sum", or "I think therefore I am". Meaning that, your existence can be verified by the fact that you think.
The world around us, our very own existence and the existence of others are all contained within our mind. Our very reality as we perceive it may exist in our mental realm... but that does not mean that all existence is contained within your mind. One could not posit that everything in the univerise is only a thought.
The unique boundary between the physical realm - namely your own body, and your mental realm - your mind - has been pondered for ages... primarily in the form of the "Mind-Body Problem"... which asks the question: How can your mind and your body operate separately but together? The main platform fueling this question being the phenomenon of dreams during sleep. An entire alternate reality exists within the dream world. Questioning whether our dreams are the true reality or our supposed "waking life" is another plausible query that is not uncommon - even to the extent of a blockbuster movie: The Matrix.
In the end, I believe a rock is rock - in everyone's world, not just in your thoughts. The world shared among all people in existence may be viewed differently by each person, and therefore those thoughts within our minds are all unique and our reality exists therein. However, the better question would be, does everything exist because of our thoughts?

Its like the beginning to that sublime song on 40 ounces to freedom. Pondering is good. My mom always told me, don't question what you ponder. It's essential to life to wonder.
I have often thought that what if we don't exist, but in the mind of the God we worship. So the whole universe is inside some guys head.
The I also thought what if God had a room in heaven, and it was filled with black glittery sphears. and each one is a different universe.

The human mind thinks millions of thoughts every nano-second...each of these thoughts create tiny physical vibrations in our brains...emphasis on the word "physical" - thus proving that our thoughts exist in the physical realm of this world...
God thought of you - chose your parents - chose you to be born off them...
You were a thought - and now you exist...

Perhaps everything and everyone are only thoughts in the mind of the Creator (assuming such a One exists.)

if you agree with Spinoza... he said that every information we get using our eyes, nose, etc is false because everything changes (he gives an example with a candle that melts and gets another shape and smell) he believed that everything could be just a dream and everybody is manipulated by a twisted genius. he says that he can doubt everything, but he cannot doubt doubting. and if he doubts, he exists. it's the famous "dubito, ergo cogito. cogito ergo sum" (I doubt, therefore I think. I think, therefore I exist). Spinoza believed that our intellect is the way to knowledge and we are born with knowledge, because the information we get using our senses is false

I think nature is not thought. I think, only the things around us of our own makings are thoughts. Anything that man does are the product of thoughts.

I exist without you thinking of me! :) So no! besides lots of things you dont think about affect you. Things like gravity, taxes, aging etc. We are a part of a vast universe where lies billions of things we dont even think about.
