My brother gave me a nicer cell phone. Both are new but mine is a cheap version. Can I activate the nicer cell phone myself by somehow switching the SIMS card? I know nothing about them other than the sims card stores my numbers. It looks like if the guy at the cell phone company can do it then I should be able to myself. Anyone know how?

You can do it yourself. Remove the battery cover and the battery from both phones. Remove the sim card (it just slides out) from your phone and replace the one in the better phone. Put batteries and cover back on.

if it through the same company unless the phones are unlocked. if you both have cingular phones then you can just switch the sim card. if you have sprint and he has cingular (are any other company) you can't unless the phone is unlocked
