Depending on size, locations, list of furnishments and how good you are in bargaining. It ranges from $1,500 upwards.
A couple of well-known housing complex for rent that's popular with foreigners in S.Jakarta are:
- Pondok Klub Villa (PKV) (ph: 021-750-5401)
- Panorama Lebak Bulus (ph: 021-765 8303)

Sorry, no emails.

I think you just better to find a house not apartment.
Which is cheaper.
A house at Kelapa Gading, South Jakarta 2-3 bedrooms cost about $3000-$4000/year and the community relative safe (chinese mostly) but you need to fill the furniture.
But apartment cost about $1000-$1500 per month.
Its better for you to ask your local friends, don't go to the realtor agency (they will charge you really expensive especially if you are foreigner).
There's nice community at the front of Kelapa Gading Mall which the cost of rent for the house is around $3k per year.
I know because I have a cousin that live in that area and some in her neighbourhood renting.
Good luck!

around Rp. 30.000.000 or $ 3,000/year
But depend on house condition.

Rent = sewa
Price = Harga
Home = Rumah
