Anytime my boyfriend meets a new girl he feels that he has to talk to her behind my back and lie that he isn't talking to anyone else. Why can't a guy just say I want to date other people or it's not working out? Why do they keep you hanging on, hoping that they will stop?

I was in the same boat sweety. It is because they take us for granted and know that we are going to be there for them no matter what because we love them. It also has a lot to do with how you guys talk when you do. If you guys are always arguing he is using these other girls as an outlet because he has not attachment to them like he does you so there for they are not going to nag or argue with him. I am not saying that this is right at all but guys need to feel like they are the man here and there and so if they don't get it from you they are going to try to get it from someone else. And Most men lie just because they are men and thats how they are. I know its a stereotype but come on guys you have to admit. Most men are a lot alike.

I can't speak for other guys, but I can say this for myself: IF I was attached,meaning I had a gf(which I don't right now, HINT ),I'd be darn sure that, if I wasn'y satisfied with my present relationship,I'd tell ?her? the TRUTH about it. I have three reasons :- so she isn't hurt as bad by a breakup, -to be fair and honest,both with my ex and myself, -it is the right thing to do. Not necessarily in that order.
