The item did not sell ( as I expected ) but Ebay charged me 57 dollars in fees ! is this right ? shouldnt there be no charges on fees if an item is unsold ?

There is something called an insertion fee that everyone must pay if you post an auction. Before you hit the final "submit" button to submit your post, you should see at the end of the page the insertion fee that it will cost you to sell your item.

$57.00 or $.57??? Ebay charges you insertion fees and fees for all the little extras you add on. A border can cost you up to $5.00.

1 whole paperclip for $1? Geez why didnt people go for that, sounds like a great deal!!!

Looks like you didn't read the fine print.

Better be sure the next thing you try to sell is actually going to sell. People aren't going to believe so much in fake antique paperclips.

Nothing is free myfriend. Charges are very. It depends on what feature you choose. Check on that and contack eBay support. I usually pay about .36 to .85 for each listing.
