A friend told me the shorter the skirt, the lower the heel, but I thought you could wear tall ones, just not ones you can't really walk on. Am I right?

i've never heard of a rule like that. I think you shouldn't wear 6" heels with that, or you'd fall over and give everyone a free show. Other than that, whatever you feel comfortable in without falling over or looking like a hooker, I think you should do.

Um... i've only heard this rule apply to business women when they're in the office. Because legs look great in short skirts with stillettos but it's more of a nite out look. So maybe at work, it may be more appropriate to wear a lower heel.

I have never heard that. I wouldn't wear the real short skirts but I would love the high heels. I think you would be inviting problems combining both. I do not think, there is a right, it would be a matter of taste.

That's the rule for daytime wear. It can look trampy to be in a short skirt and high heels during the day.
Save the minis and stilettos for evening wear :-)

Thats a bizarre rule of thumb. Sounds like something coming out of the religous right.
You can wear whatever heel height you want. Just make sure that what you are wearing is appropiate for the situation.

Put on some tights underneath your skirt to give a sexxy/casual look to your outfit. And if you can strut your **** in super high heels, than damn girl, ******* do it.

You just don't want to look slutty. Sometimes high heels with a mini skirt can look stripper like. But if you do it right you can do it. Take a look at Lindsay Lohan here. He does it right. With ankle boots. But they are still heels.

it depends on the shape and length of your LEGS and the style of the heels and skirt.
if you have a rather good build with good leggs, then high heels with a short skirt will give a slutty look.
But stubby legs will only look slimmer if you pair up short skirt with heels

Men like it either way. Only women are commenting here. Are you dressing for the men or the women. Personally I like high stilletto and short mini-skirts. But thats me - I love women!!

You just have to be careful wearing a miniskirt with huge high heels because you can look a bit like a prostitute.
