In iodoform, What does "form" represents?

The "form" comes from the one carbon atom. Like formic acid and formaldehyede. "form" was given as a generic name of the trihalomethanes. Such as chloroform CCl3H. They contain one hydrogen atom.

Iodoform is a compound produced by the reaction of certain Carbonyl Compounds which chiehly have RCHO- group where r represents the CH3Co group the Form pertains to the formaldehyde like group i.e. containing CHO group

The "form" part of the name is just a nomenclature quirk. Iodoform is CI3H , chloroform is CCl3H, bromoform is CBr3H. Like most nomenclature quirks, it has some obscure origin and only has meaning because people continue to use it.
