Rivers and Kitna both are good options
Rivers is finally getting to throw the ball although LT and rushing game will tend to take much of the scoring away from the QB
Kitna puts up suprisingly good numbers for a QB on a bad team. He's a good experienced QB and has some good targets at WR and will be playing from behind most games and thus will have to throw. Don't forget they play MartyBall in Detroit now.
Carr has some of the similar upside that Kitna has, but I think he is more prone to mistakes. As for the rest, they're just not as good as Rivers or Kitna.
Carr might be a good 1 week starter, but in the long run Kitna will be better followed by Rivers.

Forget Huard, he'll be a backup once Green gets back, and Rivers isn't producing numbers even with Gates and McCardell (not to mention LT). Kitna isn't a horrible choice, but you'll be hit and miss with Detroits offense (especially in a division with the Bears' D and even the Viking's D). Frye can produce at times with Edwards, Winslow and Northcutt. And Smith and Carr are both decent choices as they seem to be putting up semi-consitant numbers.
I'd narrow your choice down to Smith, Carr, and Frye, take a look at their upcoming schedules, and make a decision. Personally, I'd take Smith, he's got multiple weapons in the air and a good RB, and seems to be putting up decent numbers.

Carr has been putting up the best numbers. It is suspect if he can continue with that since Houston sucks. I would get Rivers. He plays for a good team. He played really well this week. i don't think he will always have good games, but I don't think he will be too bad. But Bledsoe is also still going to get some good games for you.

Go with Carr and here's why. He has the highest QB rating (2nd in the NFL), and he has the most TD's (6th in the NFL). Just because he has sucked in the past...this isn't the past. Carr is a legit FF starter this season dispite what some people who don't look at the stats and make educated decisions say.

believe it or not i would go with carr or smith. well they both play on bad teams. but look at the offensive players around them. smith has gore who is leading the nfl in rushing. he is throwing the ball to battle and bryant who are turning out to be a pretty good tandem. once he gets davis back his numbers will get better. he just needs a better o-line. carr is a surprise. he is probably the most consistent qb in the not named mcnabb. he fumbles a lot but he has almost twice as many td's as picks same as smith. plus i think andre johnson is one of the top receivers in the league. if he had a decent running back his numbers will be better. makes u wish they took reggie bush now? but if they draft adrian peterson next year. you will see a different texans team and a different david carr.

I'd go with: 5. A. Smith (San Fran)
Mostly because I like the 49ers.

Detroit is a lousy team, but Kitna pulls awesome FF numbers. I would go for him or Carr.

None of the above (All are back up QBs for by week ONLY). How about trade your player for a decent QB.
